Hooftrimming Ltd was set up in 2005 by Steve Jones, a
NACFT-accredited cattle hoof trimmer with ten years experience.
Using the latest equipment and trimming techniques, Steve
provides farmers and vets nationwide with a timely,
comprehensive hoof-care service.

With a dairy farming background and having previously worked
as a herdsman, Steve is used to handling cattle in a calm and
efficient manner. He has been trimming since 2000 and is a
Category 1 Dutch Diploma holder – an internationally
recognised welfare-orientated trimming technique. Steve
also has a reputation as a bull-trimming specialist and trims,
on average, 35-40 bulls a month. Our specially designed HTL
crush is able to safely restrain any size bull, from the smallest
Dexter to the largest Limousin or Belgium Blue.

Due to increased demand, Hooftrimming Ltd took on board
Adrian Bromfield at the beginning of 2010. Adrian has also worked
in the dairy industry as a herdsman and is Dutch trained. This
increased workforce means no job is too big or too small for
Hooftrimming Ltd, whilst the standard still remains second-to-none.

Since 2002, Steve has also been experimenting with the modification of crushes to enhance their performance. Hooftrimming Ltd. were the first to fit both an accumulator system and a wireless radio control to a UK hoof-trimming crush. Years of technical and practical experience has culminated in our very own range of bespoke foot trimming crushes to suit both farmers and professionals. Using superior engineering and top quality parts, our crushes are all built to a very high standard and we offer a reliable after-sales service to help guide you through any problems you may have.

From our 6000 sq. ft. warehouse and fitting bays, we provide a nationwide next day delivery service on all spare parts. We also supply and fit radio control units to any type of hydraulic crush, as well as repair most other makes.

In order to provide our customers with the complete one-stop-shop for hooftrimming supplies, we have rapidly expanded our accessories and supplies business and now stock one of the largest ranges of trimming products. From protective clothing to knives, grinders and everything in between, we can supply you with whatever you may need. We are also distributors for Dairy Spares, amongst others companies, and can offer very competitive prices on a variety of cattle husbandry products, milking aids and diary spares, such as liners, pump spares and motors.
